Amanda Pierce and Hubby

After graduation I went to Oklahoma Christian University and majored in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. Two years later, in July 2001, I married the most incredible man God ever made: Jeremy Pierce. We had met on a youth group mission trip and knew each other a few years before feeling the spark. We finished college together, graduating from OC in April 2004. We then decided to try out our dream of being missionaries. For two years after college we were a part of the Avanti Italia Program in Italy. The first six months we spent at the Bible School in Florence. In February 2005 we took the challenge and moved down south to work as apprentices with a local missionary in Taranto, Italy. It was one of the most life changing experiences you could ever have. We made some very good friends that we are still in contact with today. We have been back in the US for more than two years now. Our first year back I taught 1st grade in Oklahoma. Summer 2007 we moved down to Clear Lake, Texas. Jeremy is going to school at the University of Houston Clear Lake working toward his masters in Marriage and family therapy. I have been teaching 5th grade since September 2007. We enjoy the area we are living in and the church family we have found here.
