Andrea Shipley and Family

What an incredibly daunting task, summarize life over 10 years in a few sentences. Where do I even begin? I suppose I should answer the questions that arise in most peoples minds; college, marriage, kids. The answer is yes to all three. I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2003 where I double majored and double minored just because people told me I couldn’t do it. Okay not really, but I wish I was that ambitious. I earned my B.S. in Audiology/Speech Language Pathology and returned home to San Antonio following graduation. Soon there after I traveled to Cardiff Wales for work; I spent only a few months there but what a life altering experience it was. It took only the mass array of people I encountered at the Heathrow airport to instill a penchant for traveling inside this little Mexican girl from Texas. A year later I returned to Cardiff and took a trip to Paris with some friends. My plan was to travel to Rome the following year but that plan was interrupted for something even more incredible, my wedding! My husband Bill and I were married in August 2005 and returned back to Utah so that he could finish school. In December 2006 we were blessed with our daughter Micaela Olivia. She is amazing! In June 2007 we, once again, returned to San Antonio so that Bill could attend dental school at the UTHSC. Not long after school began we quickly saw the need arise for me to stop working and take care of our family full time. After all, dollar menu from McDonalds four days a week isn’t exactly a life prolonging diet.

We are now thoroughly enjoying life below the poverty line! (A loan meant for one person is stretched unimaginably thin when it has to support three.) It seemed unimaginable for someone as materialistic as me but it really is happening!

I’d hate to leave this post feeling as I’ve done nothing but boast about life over the last 10 years but for those of you who knew me well in high school you should remember that I have always been long winded, so what are a few more sentences?

The truth is, the events that have brought the greatest happiness to me over this time have also been the most challenging. College - a mental challenge. Wales - a moral challenge. Marriage – an all encompassing challenge. Motherhood – an endless challenge. I hope all of your lives have been as challenging as mine has been and may the rewards you have reaped be equally as great.

Amanda Pierce and Hubby

After graduation I went to Oklahoma Christian University and majored in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. Two years later, in July 2001, I married the most incredible man God ever made: Jeremy Pierce. We had met on a youth group mission trip and knew each other a few years before feeling the spark. We finished college together, graduating from OC in April 2004. We then decided to try out our dream of being missionaries. For two years after college we were a part of the Avanti Italia Program in Italy. The first six months we spent at the Bible School in Florence. In February 2005 we took the challenge and moved down south to work as apprentices with a local missionary in Taranto, Italy. It was one of the most life changing experiences you could ever have. We made some very good friends that we are still in contact with today. We have been back in the US for more than two years now. Our first year back I taught 1st grade in Oklahoma. Summer 2007 we moved down to Clear Lake, Texas. Jeremy is going to school at the University of Houston Clear Lake working toward his masters in Marriage and family therapy. I have been teaching 5th grade since September 2007. We enjoy the area we are living in and the church family we have found here. Check us out: japiercefamily.blogspot.comI'm also on facebook so look me up.I am looking forward to seeing you all next summer!Dio vi benedica! God bless you all!

What up guys!
So after HS I went to SWT (now Texas State) and graduated with a BS in Dance and Theater. I taught Dance at Bowie HS in Austin, Texas for about year… hated it so I moved on and taught Dance as a freelancer at different High Schools throughout the area. In 05’ I packed up my bags and moved to LA for Grad school but when I got here life just kind of happened. So I sat back and let it. I was working in Creative recruitment and Corporate for Warner Bros Entertainment, but recently left and am now working at PR/Marketing Agency in WeHo. I am single, never married, no kids, -except my beautiful schnauzer Lailah! I am loving life and currently planning my next move to NYC. Can’t wait to see you all in 09’!! Wow I can’t believe it’s been 10 years!!!

Monique and Family

As some of you may or may not remember, I didn't quite get to graduate with you all at Holmes/BC. I finished my junior year with you then moved on to an accelerated independent study program. After that I joined the Navy and served 4 years on the USS Enterprise in Norfolk, VA. I actually deployed just before 9/11/01 and was delayed a return home due to those tragic events. Upon returning home to the states, in November of 2001, I met my husband, Ron. We were married February of 2004 while living in Sicily. September of 2005 we had our daughter, Stella Dora. My husband is a Navy helicopter pilot. We currently are living in Yokosuka, Japan. During my time in the Navy I never did get a chance to pursue my college career, but since that time I did become a realtor in the process. Now that I have no job living in Japan, I am finally getting the chance to finish my degree in political science and communications.

Cumorah and her family

After graduation, I went to BYU-Idaho where I met my husband, Sean. We got married July 21st, 2000. We then moved to Utah where he got his Bachelors and Master's degrees from Brigham Young University. We have 3 beautiful children: Benjamen, Matthew, and Grace. Sean got a job as an environmental engineer at a large firm here in San Antonio, so we are back home! I am excited to see everyone.
